David Lindsey
My name is David Lindsey. I’m a REALTOR® and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®). I work as a real estate agent with Front Gate Realty in Ridgeland, Mississippi. I help adults 50+ and their families make thoughtful decisions about selling, rightsizing, or relocating—whether that means finding the right next home after years in the same house or helping sell an inherited property.
Before real estate, I spent 25 years in pharmaceutical sales management, much of it in disease states that disproportionately affect older adults—dementia, heart disease, psychiatric conditions, and chronic pain. My work was always about one thing: helping people live a better quality of life through thoughtful, evidence‑based decisions. That hasn’t changed; I’ve simply shifted from medications to housing and life transitions.
My personal “why” is rooted in my parents’ story. My dad died at 56 from a chronic illness. A few years later, my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, a diagnosis that runs through her side of the family. She said often that her greatest wish was to avoid a nursing home and to live in her own home to an old age.
Our family home was a 3,000‑square‑foot tri‑level on two acres—her dream house. She raised three boys there; my dad died there; every room held a memory. As her dementia progressed, we knew her care would eventually require 24/7 support. The house she loved was beautiful but impractical: lots of stairs, constant maintenance, a large lot, and, most importantly, it was far from family. I lived two hours away and was the closest family member.
When Hurricane Katrina significantly damaged that house, the spell was broken and she wanted to move. Drawing on what I had learned about aging with dementia, I helped her find a new home near me that checked the right boxes: single‑level, zero‑step entry, level lot, wider doorways, close to amenities and church. Over time, her dementia advanced and she needed help around the clock, but she was able to stay in that home and eventually passed away there from an unrelated condition. I like to think she got her wish. Being close—and in appropriate housing—made my role as her son and caregiver easier and more meaningful.
After retiring from pharmaceuticals, I joined my wife in her professional organizing business, Light House Organizer. Working with senior clients who were downsizing or transitioning, I saw a pattern: families waited too long to plan, then had to make rushed decisions in crisis. Houses sold for less than they might have, moves were made without thinking about future needs, and nearly everyone felt profound overwhelm. There was too much stuff, too many decisions, and not enough answers, time, energy, or help.
That’s what led me to become a Seniors Real Estate Specialist. I wanted to get ahead of those crisis moments—to help older adults and their families Shape Your Tomorrow before urgency takes over. Today, I combine my background in complex, evidence‑based decision‑making, my experience as a Senior Move Manager, and my project mindset to guide clients through late‑life housing choices in a calm, organized way. We don’t just talk about “selling a house”; we talk about how you want to live, who you want nearby, what your health and mobility might look like down the road, and how to protect both your equity and your energy. Then we mobilize a plan to make all that happen—with compassion, choice, and intention.
This is my promise to you: I will listen to your story and Embrace Your Passions so housing decisions support how you actually live. I will help you Enjoy Every Chapter by finding solutions that make daily life easier and richer, not smaller. I will walk with you to Shape Your Tomorrow through a clear, step‑by‑step plan so you and your family feel prepared, informed, and never rushed or alone.
